Kalakand Or Instant/Quick Kalakand Or Indian Fudge

Kalakand is a very popular North Indian milk based sweet. This sweet is very easy to make and so delicious. This sweet recipe needs very few ingredients, only few steps and 15 minuyes to be done. Today I'm going to share the recipe of Instant Kalakand, which tastes just like the original one, butvery easy to make. When I started making sweets, I made Kalakand first. So if I could make it, anybody can do the same. Surprise your guests with this traditional Indian sweet, don't reveal the process. They will not going  to belive you.


  • Full Fat Ricotta Cheese - 15oz
  • Sweetend Condensed Milk - 14oz
  • Crushed Greeden Cardamom Seeds - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Chopped Pistachios - for garnishing

Steps to Prepare

Take a microwave safe square glass/aluminum pan, add ricotta cheese, condensed milk, crushed cardamom seeds and mix with a hand manual beater. Mix well and make sure there is no lumps inside the mixture.

Now put the pan inside the microwave,  cook for 3 minutes uncovered. Take out and mix well. Make sure that you loosen the edges.

Back in the  Microwave 3 more minutes, uncovered.  Take out and mix. Microwave for 2 minutes, uncovered. Take out and mix.

Microwave for another 3 minutes, uncovered taking out and stirring every 1 minute. Once done, mix well. Press down and flatten the mixture. 

Cover and allow to set either in the refrigerator for an hour or on the counter-top for a  Few hours.

Cut into desired shape and serve with chopped pistachios on each Kalakand.
